Knowledge Session by YES BANK on “Lending Schemes for Startups” (22nd August 2023)
Officials of YES Bank conducted a session for the startups at IIITD-IC on various unsecured lending schemes available for startups.
Startup Meet (16th August 2023)
IIITD-IC organized a startup meet on the occasion of Independence for the incubated startups wherein they engaged in team and informal activities. The meet was attended by 100+ team members of startups. The meet was well appreciated by all the participants.
Investor Day (12th July 2023)
IIITD-IC conducted an Investor’s Day for startups to pitch their ideas to investors. Eight startups pitched their ideas and got appreciation their idea, passion, hard work and their journey so far. The investors were interested in taking up almost all the startups for investment/mentoring/business development support. The investors firms included YourNest Venture Capital, Faad Network Pvt Ltd, GrowX Ventures, Freeflow Ventures, Digital Futurists Angels Network, India Accelerators, Sanchi Connect, 8X Ventures and IHub Anubhuti.
Senior Officials from Department of Science & Technology visited IIITD-IC on 13th, 26th & 27th September 2023.
SpaceHack event was conducted by ESYA, IIITD-IC, Human Centered Design Department, IIIT Delhi on 26th August 2023 for students aspiring to be startup founders in Space Sector.
Ms. Atishi visited IIT Madras Research Park (IITMRP) to explore various specialized innovation and incubation centers within the Research Park. Mr. Naresh Priyadarshi (CEO, IIITD-IC) was also a part of the delegation that visited IITMRP.
Senior Officials from MeitY Startup Hub visited IIITD-IC on 14th September 2023. The officials reviewed the progress of IIITD-IC under TIDE 2.0 scheme, and interacted with the startups supported under the scheme. The officials appreciated the efforts made by IIITD-IC.
IIITD-IC was Community Partner in the India Internet Day by TiE Delhi NCR on 24th & 25th August 2023.
IIITD-IC conducted its Annual General Meeting on 21st September 2023 and shared the progress for FY 2022-23 with the members.
Inauguration of Drone Innovation Lab
The IIITD Innovation and Incubation Centre (IIITD-IC) has unveiled its cutting-edge Drone Innovation Lab (DIL), a specialized facility designed to support and nurture startups within the drone industry. This significant development was made possible through the generous support and grants provided by the Delhi State Industrial and Infrastructure Development Corporation Ltd. (DSIIDC), demonstrating their commitment to fostering innovation and entrepreneurship within the drone sector.
The Drone Innovation Lab, situated within the premises of IIITD-IC, is poised to become a central hub for drone-related innovation, offering an ideal ecosystem for startups to thrive. Equipped with state-of-the-art tools and resources tailored specifically for drone ventures, the lab aims to accelerate the development of ground-breaking technologies in the field.
During the lab’s inauguration, it was announced that the facility boasts a dedicated workspace with the capacity to accommodate up to 16 individuals. This expansion complements the existing incubation infrastructure of over 170 workstations, fostering a collaborative and inspirational environment for entrepreneurs and innovators to collaborate on cutting-edge drone projects and explore various deep tech applications.
